Its so great to hear peoples positive experiences when visiting London. People so often focus on the negative aspects of their trips. The taxis are really cool as well, I love the tv’s in the back. I just hope Heathrow was okay for you as thats probably the toughest place in London which is a shame as its generally peoples last impression.

I remember when I was coming up on my 30th birthday. I always looked very young–did up til I was about 40 or so. My girlfriend from work, who was 2-3 years younger, and I, went out for a couple of drinks after work. (Back then, they didn’t have the “card if they appear under 30 rule). The waitress came up and asked for ID. My friend started digging out her license–the waitress said, “I don’t need yours, honey,” pointed at me and said, “I need hers.” Boy, was she mad!

Anyway, I got carded buying cigarettes til I was past 30. I was about 36 the last time I got ID’d buying wine at the grocery store. The 18 y/o cashier wouldn’t believe I had a son her age!

But let me tell you….the baby-face doesn’t last forever. And when it starts to go, it can go pretty fast. Hate to give you the bad news.

But, hey, I’ve kept my figure….I can still wear spandex, and I don’t look that bad in it! And even with the rheumatoid arthritis, I can still (on occaision) out-dance the 30 year olds!

So hang in there. Some things get worse with aging, but some things get better.
